Who we are

Helping Hands for Horses is a non-profit association dedicated to helping horses in need.

We collect donated equestrian equipment and accessories, giving them a second life through our EquiShop and fundraising events.

Every donation and every purchase helps support equine rescue and welfare projects in France and beyond.

Who we support

We support carefully selected equine rescues with whom we have established trusted relationships.

Through regular communication, personal contact and ongoing feedback, we understand where the funds we raise are most needed and can share the difference your generosity is making.

By joining one or both of our Teaming groups for just €1 per month, you can make a real difference.
Reaching our goal of 100 Teamers per charity will provide €100 each month, per rescue, helping cover essential costs such as hay, feed, and general care.

At a time when rescue resources are at an all time low, we would be extremely grateful for your support. No amount is too small.

  • Funds go directly to the charity
  • €1 debited at the beginning of the month
  • There is no commission
  • Connection is safe & secure
  • Data is stored in encrypted form
  • Group figures can be seen at all times
  • You can leave the group at any time

“Helping Hands for Horses provides regular support for our resident rescue horses, helping to fund hay, hoof trimming, medication, worming treatments and tick prevention.

They have also made significant contributions to our outreach work in Roma communities, where conditions for equines can be extremely challenging and neglect often stems from lack of knowledge rather than malice.

We are incredibly grateful for their support, which enables LIFE to bring about real and lasting improvements to the lives of hardworking and often mistreated horses.”

Founder of Lucy Irvine Foundation Europe

“Helping Hands for Horses enabled us to rescue a mare who had been abandoned in a field. They later adopted her and renamed her Étoile. Today she is living happily in a herd, has regained her weight and enjoys the life she deserves.

They continue to make regular donations to help the horses in our care and organise fundraising events in support of our rescue work. Their generosity and ongoing commitment mean a great deal to us.”

Featured horses

Maya

LIFE has known Maya for several years and every spring we see her in the same poor condition , underweight and overworked. Only when we supplement her inadequate diet with extra hay bales has she ever come close to decent condition.

Bella

This sweet mare, Bella, suffered horrific trauma, such that 6 months after her rescue, she still cannot be haltered. Through patience, her trust in humans is growing daily, tiny steps, but she now accepts being stroked at liberty.

Join us !

We are just three founding members of the association, but are very lucky to have volunteers who help by collecting donations, cleaning tack, repairing rugs, baking cakes etc.
If you’d like to join our small but dedicated team, we would love to hear from you!
